Physicians Receive Notice from EDD of Imposter Claim: What to Do Next

ACCMA has received reports from physicians who have received letters from the California Employment Development Department (EDD) regarding claims for unemployment insurance that have been filed in the physician's name without their knowledge or consent. If you have received any notice from EDD that you believe may be fraudulent, follow the steps listed here to report false claims. If you believe you are a victim of identity theft, you should follow the steps outlined on the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) website or call 1-877-ID-THEFT.
