Senate Passes Legislation to Stop Medicare Cuts

Congressional action has successfully halted the Medicare physician payment cuts that were set to go into effect January 1. The Protecting Medicare and American Farmers from Sequester Cuts Act (S610) was approved by the U.S. House of Representatives on December 7 and passed the U.S. Senate on December 9.
