ACCMA Insurance Programs
The ACCMA has partnered with a number of local, trusted insurance companies and brokers to provide a suite of ACCMA-endorsed insurance programs to address the personal and professional needs of ACCMA members.

Professional Liability Insurance
The ACCMA endorses the Medical Insurance Exchange of California (MIEC) as the preferred professional liability carrier for East Bay physicians.  MIEC was founded by the ACCMA as the first doctor-owned professional liability carrier in the west, and continues to operate as a doctor-owned company today.  As a result, MIEC puts the interests of its policyholders/owners first, and returned over $17 million in dividends to its policyholders/owners in 2008 alone.  For more information, click here or call MIEC at 800-227-4527

Medical Insurance

Dental Insurance
The ACCMA and Delta Dental are pleased to offer an HMO plan into our member portfolio for 2008 in addition to our PPO plan. As always the plans are available to all ACCMA members (active or retired) and family, on a guaranteed issued basis. Long-Term Disability Insurance
Provides tax-free disability benefits payable up to age 65 in the event that you are unable to continue working due to an injury or illness. The benefit is paid in addition to any Workers' Compensation, State Disability Insurance (SDI) and Social Security that you might otherwise receive. The policy cannot be canceled. Medi-Cal Payments on Hold
While most physicians continue to be paid for Medi-Cal claims, some Medi-Cal payments are being held up while the California Legislature negotiates a new State budget.
PECOS Enrollment Update
To ensure adequate time to process applications before the January 3, 2011. Medicare is strongly encouraging physicians who are not currently enrolled in PECOS to initiate Medicare enrollment.
CalOSHA ATD Regulations
Effective September 1, new CalOSHA standards will require employers in health care settings to take measures to protect employees from aerosol transmissible diseases.
MBC Notice to Consumers
California physicians are now required to provide a "Notice to Consumers" to notify patients that they are licensed and regulated by the Medical Board of California (MBC). Find resources to comply.
