CMA Annual Legislative Leadership Conference
Tuesday, April 27
Sacramento, CA

This is a stimulating and memorable program in which physicians have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with local elected officials in the Assembly and Senate, see the legislative process in action, and directly engage in efforts to promote health care legislation on behalf of the medical profession and our patients.

This conference plays an essential role in the CMA's legislative advocacy activities. The conference is open to all members free of charge.  The CMA will provide meals and briefing materials and the ACCMA will reimburse mileage expenses to attend the conference.  Highlights of the conference typically include:

  • Presentations by CMA Leaders and Legislative Advocates Regarding Pending Health Care Legislation
  • A panel discussion by recognized political analysts regarding Sacramento politics
  • Meetings with our legislative representatives in the Capitol to address key legislative issues affecting health care, such as health care reform, funding for health care programs, improving health plan accountability, and preventing allied health care practitioners from inappropriately expanding their scope of practice.

If you are interested in attending or would like more information, please contact the ACCMA.
