Recently, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) in California, representing 700,000 working people in all 58 California counties, announced its strong opposition to the trial lawyer-backed anti-MICRA ballot measure. The coalition also recently added the California Chamber of Commerce and the American Civil Liberties Union of California. These recent announcements add to a diverse and growing collation of doctors, community health clinics, hospitals, family-planning organizations, local leaders, public safety officials, businesses and working men and women urging Californians to oppose the proposed MICRA ballot measure.
