Governor Jerry Brown recently signed into law AB 2760, a bill intended to increase the amount of Naloxone available to individuals that appear to be at high risk of overdose. Providers will be required to offer Naloxone to all patients prescribed 90 or more morphine milligram equivalent of an opioid medication per day, prescribed concurrently with a prescription for benzodiazepine or a patient if the patient presents with an increased risk of overdose.
