California laboratory license renewal fees will not be collected in 2018 and 2019, because labs paid millions more in fees to the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) than the department had spent in operating its Laboratory Field Services (LFS). The suspension does not apply to other fees, such as multiple site, personnel licensure, new lab, or delinquency fees. Lab renewal fees will be reinstated in 2020.
