In early July physicians will receive their UnitedHealthcare (UHC) Premium Designation assessment results. Physicians in 16 specialties will be ranked by UHC on both national and specialty-specific measures for quality and various cost-efficiency measures, based on claims data from January 2014 through February 2017. The results will be released publicly beginning September 6. Physicians meeting or exceeding the benchmarks will be identified with a Premium Designation notation on their profiles for UHC enrollees. Physicians who want to dispute their assessment results can submit a reconsideration request through the UHC website before August 7 at, or call the California Medical Association for help at (800) 786-4262.
