The American Medical Association (AMA) is encouraging physicians to tell the stories of their patients when speaking about the impact of the proposed American Health Care Act (AHCA). In putting a “human face” on the discussion, the AMA wants to persuade Congress that the legislation affects the “lives of real individual people.” The AMA is currently engaged in a joint national speaking tour with organizations representing hospitals, patients, and consumers.
