The Alameda-Contra Costa Medical Association (ACCMA) is a professional association of physicians who are committed to addressing health issues of concern to patients and doctors in the East Bay. Throughout its history the ACCMA has sought to improve public health, the quality of the practice of medicine and patients' access to care.

The purpose of the ACCMA is to:

  • Provide a forum for the full and frank interchange of ideas among physicians
  • Secure intelligent unity and harmony within the profession
  • Make effective the opinions of doctors in all scientific, medical, public health, medical economic, and social affairs in which the medical profession has a valid interest or public responsibility.

The ACCMA staff is committed to assisting physicians in every aspect of their practices, from ironing out the complicated practice management issues that arise on a daily basis, to providing legislative advocacy at the local, state and national levels. PECOS Deadline Delayed
Medicare recently announced that it would delay the compliance deadline for its "PECOS enrollment policy" until January 1, 2011.
21% Medicare SGR Cut
Congress temporarily delayed the 21% cuts in physician reimbursement scheduled for 2010, that temporary delay expires next Monday, March 1.
H1N1 Update
UPDATE: CDPH is now accepting supplemental orders for H1N1 vaccine. Requests will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
